## How to take your first payment

Taking your first payment with Morgan AI takes about 30 seconds. Here's exactly how to do it.

## Option 1: Tap to Pay (card payment)

This is the fastest way to get paid when your customer is in front of you.

1. Open Morgan AI
2. Tap the **+** button on the home screen
3. Select **Charge**
4. Type in the amount (e.g. 75.00)
5. Optionally add a note or select a customer
6. Tap **Charge** to proceed
7. Your phone will show a payment prompt. Have your customer tap their card or phone to the top of your iPhone (near the camera)
8. Done. You'll see a confirmation screen and the customer can receive a receipt by email or text

The whole process takes about 15-30 seconds.

## Option 2: Send a payment link

If your customer isn't with you, or they want to pay online:

1. Tap **+** and select **Payment link**
2. Enter the amount and a description
3. Tap **Send**: choose to share by message, email, or copy the link
4. Your customer follows the link and pays by card on their phone or computer

You'll get a notification when the payment is complete.

## Option 3: Record a cash or e-transfer payment

If a customer pays you by cash or e-transfer:

1. Tap **+** and select **Record payment**
2. Enter the amount, payment method, and customer name
3. Tap **Save**

This keeps all your income in one place, even if the payment didn't go through the app.

## After your first payment

Check the **Income** tab. You'll see your payment there. If you have a bank account connected, the payout will arrive in 1-2 business days.
