Sending a payment link with an invoice
Sending a payment link with an invoice
Every invoice in Morgan AI includes a secure payment link so customers can pay online without being present.
How it works
When you send an invoice by email, the email includes a Pay now button. Clicking it takes your customer to a secure payment page where they can pay by card. They don't need an account and the process takes about 30 seconds.
What the customer sees
The payment page shows:
- Your business name and logo
- Invoice number and date
- Line items and total
- A card payment form (powered by Stripe)
- Their receipt after payment
It's clean, professional, and mobile-friendly.
Sharing the payment link separately
You can also copy or share the payment link without sending the full invoice email:
- 1Open the invoice
- 2Tap Share payment link
- 3Share via text, WhatsApp, or any other app
This is useful if your customer prefers to receive payment requests by text rather than email.
Tracking who has paid
When a customer pays through the link, the invoice updates to Paid automatically. You receive a push notification on your phone.
All paid invoices appear in the Income tab with the payment amount, date, and method.
Do payment links expire?
Payment links attached to invoices are valid until the invoice is paid or voided. They don't expire based on date.
Security
The payment page is served over HTTPS and uses Stripe's secure payment infrastructure. Your customers' card details are handled entirely by Stripe, Morgan AI never sees or stores full card numbers.
