Setting up recurring invoices

Setting up recurring invoices

If you work with the same clients on a regular schedule, recurring invoices save you from creating the same invoice every week or month.

What are recurring invoices?

A recurring invoice is an invoice that Morgan AI sends automatically on a schedule you define: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or custom. Once set up, it runs without any action from you.

Setting up a recurring invoice

  1. 1Open Morgan AI and tap + > Invoice
  2. 2Fill in the customer, line items, and amount as usual
  3. 3Before sending, tap Make recurring
  4. 4Choose the frequency:

- Weekly

- Every two weeks

- Monthly

- Custom (every N days)

  1. 1Set the start date and optionally an end date
  2. 2Tap Activate

The first invoice sends on the start date, and subsequent invoices send automatically on schedule.

Editing a recurring invoice

To change the amount, items, or schedule:

  1. 1Go to Invoices > Recurring
  2. 2Tap the recurring invoice you want to edit
  3. 3Make your changes and tap Save

Changes apply to all future invoices. Past invoices are not affected.

Pausing or cancelling a recurring invoice

If a client relationship ends or you need to pause billing:

  1. 1Go to Invoices > Recurring
  2. 2Tap the invoice
  3. 3Tap Pause or Cancel recurring

Paused invoices can be reactivated at any time. Cancelled recurring invoices cannot be restarted. You'll need to create a new one.

Tracking recurring invoice payments

Recurring invoices appear in the Invoices tab just like regular invoices. Each one shows the date sent, whether it's been paid, and the running total from that client.

Pro feature

Recurring invoices are available on the Morgan AI Pro plan. Upgrade from Settings > Subscription if you're on the free plan.
